NICK LEIGHTON - DIRECTOR - HALTON TENNIS CENTRE - COMMENTED: "In 2008 we decided to install a second indoor tennis facility and opted for a second air hall from Yeadon Domes. Yeadon Domes tender was at the top end pricewise but they have a worldwide track record of producing high quality air halls and in particular had access to Tedlar fabric, hanging lights and experience of an L shape design. We already had one Yeadon air hall - installed in 1991, and it has been a great success.
The new air hall was a unique design, incorporating 3 courts plus a 3 court mini zone, so the footprint was an L shape. It also included hanging lights built into the fabric at manufacture stage and Tedlar Fabric that allows for maximum UV and dirt protection. Tedlar also extends the life and enhances the aesthetics of our dome. Both the hanging lights and the Tedlar fabric are unique in the UK. The installation has been a great success and the facility has received universal praise and many visitors from clubs around the country. The project was fully supported (including financial help) by the LTA, and they are also delighted with the result. Yeadon have been excellent in their design and implementation, and we are delighted to offer them our support and recommendation to other clubs."
